Sustainability and Replicability
Coolvoyage Sardinia is designed not as a one-off media project, but as a scalable and adaptable framework with long-term sustainability and local ownership at its core.
Environmental and Social Sustainability
- The project promotes low-impact travel models, including van life, slow tourism, hiking, and local food culture.
- It highlights community-based experiences, strengthening the link between visitors and residents through mutual respect, storytelling and support for local economies.
- By focusing on non-seasonal and decentralised tourism, the project helps reduce pressure on over-visited areas while revitalising lesser-known inland regions.
Organisational Sustainability
- The project is maintained through a hybrid model that combines editorial content, partnerships with local stakeholders, and access to national and international funding.
- It is led by professionals with long-standing experience in digital strategy, cultural projects and regional development.
- Its modular design allows for phased growth: from online guide to workshops, training programmes, and physical itineraries.
Replicability: The “Cool Guides” Network
Coolvoyage Sardinia is the first step in a broader initiative: the creation of a Cool Guides Network — a model that can be adapted and applied to other island or rural regions in Europe.
- Future guides are planned for destinations such as Phuket (Thailand) and London (UK), using the same methodology adapted to local contexts.
- The platform can be shared with partner organisations to co-develop similar guides under a shared ethical and aesthetic framework.
This capacity for replication makes Coolvoyage Sardinia a strong candidate for EU programmes that prioritise innovation, territorial cooperation, and the diffusion of best practices.
