La Cinta Beach is located in San Teodoro, about 30 km south of Olbia.
The drive from Olbia Airport or the city centre takes approximately 25–30 minutes.
Thanks to its easy accessibility, La Cinta is one of the most visited beaches in northeastern Sardinia, especially during the summer months.
What Makes La Cinta Special
La Cinta is often described as a natural bridge between the land and the sea.
It stretches for over 5 km, a ribbon of soft, dazzling white sand framed by shallow, turquoise waters on one side and a lagoon teeming with wildlife on the other.
The beach is loved for its Caribbean-like appearance, perfect for swimming, walking, snorkelling, and simply relaxing.
The water remains shallow for many metres offshore, making it ideal for families with children.
The backdrop of Monte Nieddu and the surrounding hills adds to the visual drama, especially at sunset.
How to Get There
- By car:
From Olbia, follow the SS125 south toward San Teodoro. Signs for “La Cinta” are clearly visible as you enter the town.
There is a large parking area near the main beach entrance (paid during high season). - By bus:
Regular buses connect Olbia to San Teodoro during the summer, with stops near La Cinta. Routes are operated by ARST and other local companies. - By train:
The nearest train station is in Olbia. From there, a car rental or bus is necessary to reach the beach.
Trails and Access
The beach can be accessed easily via well-marked paths from the main car park.
There are also smaller access points along the stretch, ideal if you prefer quieter spots away from the crowds.
Footpaths along the dunes allow visitors to explore the beautiful surroundings without damaging the delicate ecosystem.
Camper Info
While there are no camper parks directly on La Cinta Beach, nearby San Teodoro offers several camping areas and camper-friendly facilities within 5 to 10 minutes by car.
Parking large vehicles directly near the main beach entrance can be tricky during peak season.
